Release notes 1.56 (December 2024)

Highlights

LOT and batch number tracking

You can now track LOT or batch numbers on any item. When enabled, each restock creates a LOT assignment tied to a specific location. Picks from that location carry the LOT number in every transaction, giving you full traceability from receipt to consumption. When all items from a LOT are picked, the assignment clears automatically so the location can receive a new batch. Especially valuable in industries that require batch-level tracking for tools and consumables.

Smarter pick list search and filtering

Pick lists get a major usability upgrade. Lists now have both a unique ID and a display name, so you can label them meaningfully. A new search bar filters by item name, item ID, or description — showing only lists that contain matching items. You can also filter by cost allocation values (e.g. show only lists for a specific machine) and set an “Active to” date that automatically removes expired lists. Learn more about pick lists →

Hänel storage solution integration

CRIBWISE now integrates with Hänel — the fourth vertical lift system alongside Kardex, Modula, and Weland. The integration provides the same tray management, location guidance, and automated pick/return workflows as the other lifter integrations. Learn more about lift machines →

Caption: Hänel joins Kardex, Modula, and Weland as a fully supported vertical lift system.

Improvements

  • ANSI designation in catalog imports — SECO and Sandvik Coromant catalog imports now support mapping the ANSI order code to any CRIBWISE field. Previously only ISO codes were available. Configure this in System settings → Integration.
  • Consignment Invoice renamed — “Consignment Invoice” is now “Consignment Invoice Request,” better reflecting that CRIBWISE informs the supplier about net consumption rather than generating the final invoice. Learn more about consignment →
  • Faster restock on SFI — the restock process is noticeably faster for accounts with hundreds of open purchase orders. Learn more about purchase orders →
  • API returns correct redirect URLs — the Cost Allocation Steps and Cost Allocation Sets API endpoints now return valid location headers after POST requests. Learn more about the API →

Fixes

  • TB300 pick operations no longer take up to 10 minutes to complete; operations execute at normal speed.
  • Serialized item quantities in assignment reports now show the correct count instead of summing all instances at a location.
  • Devices with desynchronized system time are no longer incorrectly marked as “delayed” when using dynamic sync.
  • The “Go Live” data reset no longer clears feature flags from add-ons — all enabled features are preserved.
  • Serial number selection on Lista cabinets no longer hides location information during pick.
  • Service scripts no longer create duplicate service orders when run multiple times.
  • Item pictures now display on the manipulation screen when removing items from lifter tray management.
  • Purchase settings can be changed on SFI even when the item has no dispense package quantity set.
  • Restocking durable non-serialized items no longer fails when inventory is performed during the restock process.
  • Mixing 25 mm and 50 mm locations on lifter trays no longer causes split or overlap issues.
  • Serialized items can no longer be assigned to ASK200/TB300 coil devices, which don’t support serial number handling.
  • Product access group value-based quantity restrictions now calculate correctly for items with different purchase and dispense units.
  • Demo customer creation now correctly generates the demo device and items.
  • ASK200 initialization no longer fails when the pusher sensor is active.
  • Background tasks no longer stall when many tasks of the same type are queued.
