What you’ll learn
How a Sielaff ASK 200 extension cabinet is set up as a storage device in CRIBWISE: the settings it needs, the cabinet ID that identifies it, and why it always depends on a master cabinet.
Storage device settings
| Setting | Value |
| Type | Location controlled (Coil) |
| Manufacturer | Sielaff ASK200 |
| Cabinet type | Extension cabinet |
| Cabinet ID | Provided by the supplier. Unless the supplier says otherwise, extension cabinets 2 to 5 have ID 2 to 5 – the first extension cabinet is 2. |
Important: An extension cabinet cannot exist on a device that has no master cabinet.
Module structure
- The same as the master cabinet: 28 modules, one per shelf, created automatically.
Stock location structure
- The same as the master cabinet – see Sielaff ASK 200 Master cabinet – storage device setup.
Common confusion
| People often think… | But actually… |
| An extension cabinet can stand alone. | It always belongs to a device that already has a master cabinet. |
| The cabinet ID can be chosen freely. | It comes from the supplier, and defaults to 2 to 5 for extension cabinets 2 to 5. |
| Extensions are configured differently from the master. | The module and location structure is identical. |
