How a Lista LPC or LDC cabinet is set up as a storage device in CRIBWISE: the settings it needs, one module per drawer, and the location structure each drawer type supports.
Storage device settings

Module structure
- One drawer is one module.
- Each module has a unique hardware address.
- For LDC drawers, set the LDC flag to true on module level. Leave it false for LPC.
Stock location structure
- First dimension: 1-1.
- Second dimension: 1 to the number of locations in the module.
- For LDC drawers both dimensions can be set as needed.
- Locations are defined separately for each module.

Common confusion
| People often think… | But actually… |
| LPC and LDC drawers are configured the same way. | The LDC flag must be true for LDC drawers and false for LPC, and only LDC drawers are controlled. |
| Locations must always be created by hand. | When a configuration file is available, importing it creates the modules and locations for you. |
| The second dimension can be anything on an LPC drawer. | It runs from 1 to the number of locations in that drawer type – see the table above. |
