MPH AVC-100 — storage device setup

What you’ll learn

How an MPH AVC-100 is set up as a storage device in CRIBWISE: the settings it needs, how its locations are created, and the one-piece-per-location rule that makes this cabinet different.

Storage device settings

Setting Value
Type Location controlled
Manufacturer MPH AVC-100
IP address The IP address of the cabinet, without a port number
Number of locations How many locations the cabinet has

Important: The number of locations cannot be changed after the storage device has been created. Check it before you save.

Module and location structure

When the storage device is created, locations are generated from the number of locations you specified. All of them sit in a single module.

All AVC-100 locations belong to one module.

Cabinet specifics

Unlike other cabinets, the AVC-100 holds only a single piece of an item in each location. You therefore cannot set a maximum physical quantity higher than 1, or count more than 1 piece during inventory.

Common confusion

People often think… But actually…
The number of locations can be corrected later. It is fixed once the storage device is created.
A location can hold several pieces if it fits. The AVC-100 allows exactly one piece per location, in assignment and in inventory.
The IP address needs a port. Specify the address without a port number.
