Picked items location tracking reference

What you’ll learn

What the Picked items locations overview shows – every durable item picked and not yet returned – which columns are available, and how to scrap a picked item straight from the list.

Each line represents a single pick performed on the SFI. Picks are grouped by the physical location where the item currently is, based on the physical cost allocation step. Picks made without cost allocation, or whose cost allocation value was deleted, are grouped under No location.

The overview gives you every item currently out in production.

Working with the list

Collapse list button Collapses the list to location level.
Expand list button Expands the list to show items.
Export to Excel button Exports the list to Excel. Active filters, columns and ordering are kept in the exported file.

Expand or collapse location button Expands or collapses a location to show or hide its items.

Available columns

Which columns are shown, and in what order, is changed with the Column settings button option.

Scrap picked items

Scrap a picked item from the overview when it should not come back to the device. The operation generates a scrap transaction and removes the item from the list of picked items. It is identical to the return as scrap operation on the SFI.

Warning: A scrapped item is no longer considered picked and can never be returned.

  1. Select the picked item to scrap. To select several, activate multiselect mode with the Multiselect button button.
  2. Select Scrap item in the toolbar. Everything selected is listed for confirmation.
  3. If a pick has a quantity higher than 1, all of it is selected for scrap by default. To change it, select the line, press Change quantity button and enter the quantity.
  4. Confirm the operation with Confirm scrap button.
  5. If system settings require a reason code for scrap, select one. It is applied to every item being scrapped.

Common confusion

People often think… But actually…
The overview shows all items in stock. It shows durable items that have been picked and not yet returned – what is out in production.
No location means the item is lost. It means the pick had no cost allocation, or the cost allocation value was deleted.
A line is one item. A line is one pick operation. The same item can appear on several lines.
Scrapping here differs from scrapping on the SFI. It is the same operation as return as scrap, performed from the Admin Portal.
