System offers two ways how to manage assignments of items to stock locations – from stock location detail (access from stock or device detail) or item detail.
Assignment to devices without assignment to locations can be done in bulk operation.
If assignments are about to be added or removed on synchronized devices, lock of the device must be performed

Items are assigned to device and to stock locations.
Assignment to device specifies purchase information and target quantities in the device.
Assignment to stock location specifies where this item can be found inside this device, how many items can fit into the location, what a condition of items is and how many items are physically inside the location.
If item is assigned to device only, item can be assigned to location later during restock operation on SFI.
Assignment to location cannot exists without assignment to this device
Assign item from item detail
Item can be assigned from item detail only to device, or directly to location.
Assign item to device only
Navigate to item detail and open Stock locations tab. All devices and locations where item is assigned will be listed. Assignments to devices can be managed by following options:
Assigns to new device
Deletes selected assignment. All assignments to locations within this device will be removed. Delete is not possible if there is any physical quantity left in the location
Updates selected assignment
Delete of device assignment is not allowed when device is in Connected state. Lock the device to perform the operation
To assign item to a new device press Assign button ( ).
On opened window select device and confirm selection.
All devices can be selected regardless the lock status. Enter purchase information for assignment to device (max quantity, min quantity, order point, consignment, order directly to satellite and service add-on information, this information serves to automate purchase process) and press Save assignment button to confirm newly created assignment.
Min quantity can be set only for durable items.
Option to order directly to satellite can be set only for satellite devices. If this item should not be ordered automatically, set item as quoted on item detail or set all purchase information to 0. Consignment must be turned on in system settings to set consignment for item-device relation.
Assign item directly to location
Navigate to item detail and open Stock locations tab. All locations where item is assigned will be listed. Assigned locations can be managed by following options:
Assigns new location. Creates also assignment to device if not exists
Deletes selected assignment. Cannot be performed when there is physical quantity left in the location
Updates selected assignment
Delete location assignment is not allowed for locations in Released storage devices when controlling device is in Connected state. Lock the device to perform the operation
To assign item to a new location press Assign button ( ).
On opened window select stock (optionally device) and press Search to show all locations of selected stock (and device). Select location and confirm selection.
List will not show locations of Released storage devices when controlling device is in Connected state. Lock the device to assign items to such locations
Enter information for assignment to stock location (maximum physical quantity, stock location rule) and information for assignment to device (max quantity, min quantity, order point, consignment, order directly to satellite and service add-on information, this information serves to automate purchase process) and press Save assignment button to confirm newly created assignment.
Location can be set with unlimited physical quantity.
In this case, system will not limit how many items can fit into this location during restock and return operations. If item is already assigned in some location within this device, information about assignment to device will be prefilled.
Min quantity can be set only for durable items Option to order directly to satellite can be set only for satellite devices. Consignment must be turned on in system settings to set consignment for item-device relation
Assign item from location detail
Navigate to stock location list from stock detail view or device detail view.
Select stock location and press Edit button ( ) to enter location detail.
All items assigned to this location will be listed. Assigned items can be managed by following options:
Assigns new item to location. Creates also assignment to device if not exists
Deletes selected assignment. Cannot be performed when there is physical quantity left in the location
Updates selected assignment
Create and remove item assignments is not allowed for locations of Released storage devices when controlling device is in Connected state. Lock the device to manage assignments in such locations
To assign new item press Assign button ( ).
List of all items will be shown. Select item and confirm selection. Information screen with assignment parameters will be shown.
Enter information for assignment to stock location (maximum physical quantity, stock location rule) and information for assignment to device (max quantity, min quantity, order point, consignment, order directly to satellite and service add-on information, this information serves to automate purchase process) and press Save assignment button to confirm newly created assignment.
Location can be set with unlimited physical quantity. In this case, system will not limit how many items can fit into this location during restock and return operations. If item is already assigned in some location within this device, information about assignment to device will be prefilled.
Min quantity can be set only for durable items Option to order directly to satellite can be set only for satellite devices Consignment must be turned on in system settings to set consignment for item-device relation
Mass assign of items to device
Items can be assigned to device in bulk operation. To perform mass assign to device, navigate to list of items.
Press selection mode button to enable selection of multiple items and select items to be assigned to device.
Start wizard by pressing Mass assign 
button.
Select device from list of all available devices. All devices are listed regardless the lock status. Enter purchase information and confirm assignment.
If combination of durable and consumable items is selected, Minimum quantity must be specified as purchase information even this information is not used for consumable items.
In this situation, Minimum quantity is stored only for durable items and omitted for consumables.
If assignment already exists for some of selected items, assignment is updated with a new purchase information.
Delete assignment to location
To delete existing assignment to location navigate to item detail and Stock locations tab or stock location detail (from device or stock detail) and press Delete button ( ).
Assignment cannot be deleted when there is physical quantity of items located in the location.
To remove physical items, pick or inventory must be performed.
Delete of device assignment is not allowed when device is in Connected state. Lock the device to perform the operation.
