Modula Lift and Slim

Our offer

Connect and control your existing Modula storage solution by CRIBWISE. We give the simplicity to operators on the shopfloor to work with only one point of use storage solution software that is simple and intuitive. Same follow-up capabilities for all tooling and indirect supply, one integration to ERP system! CRIBWISE continues its journey to connect the shopfloor logistics, create visibility and simplify for operators and storage personnel.

Modula Lift and Slim work through normal SFI and can be set-up by selecting Modula as a Storage device solution. To have Modula as a storage device option customer must have addon “Modula storage device controller” available in Customer Management Portal The integration works with Modula accessories like laser pointers and displays.

CRIBWISE does not sell any parts of Modula solution, not the physical storage unit nor the LINK server software . CRIBWISE connects to the LINK server that needs to be configured for CRIBWISE when set-up/installed by Customer or Modula representative.

Modula installation

CRIBWISE offers installation service for any Modula storage device (install the SFI software and connect to Modula LINK), but as the solution can vary a-lot in size we only offer installation service on hourly rate.

Prerequisites Modula

To be able to control Modula lift of Slim version there is a number of prerequisites needed!

  • Modula Link acts as a server between machine and CRIBWISE. This server must be installed, configured and SFI must be able to connect to it over network.

  • Any accessory (laser pointer, LED display, LED bar) must be configured with the Modula Link. CRIBWISE has no direct connection to this accessory, all commands are performed over the Link.

  • The machine must be in Remote operation mode (means it is connected to Modula Link). This is one time setting made via the control panel.

  • The machine must be in Automatic mode allowing to be operated by remote commands. Automatic mode must be activated again by operator via the control panel always when:
    • machine cold starts,
    • user logs in to Modula control panel,
    • there is any error or interference of light barrier (i.e. when hand or object is placed to opening during machine’s movement).

  • In order to allow remote control, there must be always someone logged in to the control panel. Access rights needs to be specified in Modula Link for that account to restrict operations available via the panel (like calling a tray directly without CRIBWISE). This account is not related to any account in CRIBWISE.

Information needed to configure Modula in CRIBWISE

  • For configuration of CRIBWISE, following must be known and entered during creation of a new storage device:

    • IP address and port where Modula Link is accessible.
    • Machine number – this serves as ID of a machine in Link software. Typically set as simple number starting from 1 for each machine.
    • Opening (bay) number – number identifying an opening, typically simple number starting from 1 for each opening.
    • Number of trays.
    • Dimension of trays.
