Item catalogs

Admin Portal supports several catalogs providing item information. These catalogs can be used to download items into item library and use these items within CRIBWISE solution. Follow separate articles related to how to download items from catalog and how to update existing items.

For each supported catalog, settings are available to define how items are created or updated when working with this catalog. These settings can be accessed in Administration -> Integration -> Item catalogs.

User must have privilege to Manage integrations to be able to access the Integration menu.

Fields mapping

Fields mapping allows to set what information coming from the catalog will be mapped to which item field. Available selection of fields depends on specific catalog and field type.

Mapping is used for both import of new items and update of existing items. Leaving a selection empty will not set the field for newly imported items and it will not change the field during item update.

Import settings

Import settings allow to specify what additional information will be downloaded from the catalog during import of new items or update of existing.

Import documents

Document import stores all available documents related to the item – images, drawings, models and external links. Disabling the document import will result in no item thumbnail will be available for imported items.

During item update, update of documents will not affect any document added to the item manually. If custom item image is specified, this image will not be changed by the update.

Import spare parts

Importing spare parts can create additional items in AP library and link these items as a spare parts to the imported or updated item.

During item update, spare parts created manually are not affected by the update.

Import ISO parameters

Importing the ISO parameters will store all available parameters for imported or updated item. There is no option to create these parameters other then to import them via catalog.

ISO parameters are used to determine matching items. Skipping these parameters from import will result in imported item will not be able to match with other items.

Import settings can be overridden during update of items against a catalog via update settings – see update existing items.
