Item Imports CRIBWISE allows for the import from the SMS cutting tool divisions of Sandvik Coromant, Seco, and Walter. Import from Tools United and GTC package are also available but will be covered in a different article. Start by clicking on Data Management and then Items on the left side of the admin portal:
Select the ‘Import items’ function and the available catalogs will appear on the right of the screen:
Select the SMS catalog from which you wish to import the item and enter the material ID
Click on the item record returned in the search and click the ‘Import items’ icon. A vendor selection screen will appear allowing for the selection of either a specified vendor or the manufacturer to be set at the vendor for automated ordering purposes.
Select the desired vendor and click the ‘Import items’ icon again. A checkmark will appear next to the highlight item record and a status screen will then expand. An ‘OK’ update will appear when the import has been completed.
